Former Cavalier linebacker Henry Coley will join a panel of current and former UVA Black student athletes for a panel discussion at the Curry School of Education on April 7.  Coley, a 2016 graduate of the Curry School with a master's degree in higher education, was the 2014 Touchdown Club of Richmond's Linebacker of the Year. He made the ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2014 and was named to the All-ACC Academic football team in 2012 and 2013.

Coley will be joined by Ahmad Hawkins – best known for his game-winning 47-yard run for a comeback against Virginia Tech in 1998 – along with current Curry School student athletes Wilfred Wahee (men's football) and Aliyah Huland El (women's basketball) and UVA athletic director Craig Littlepage. Katrina Tippett, team manager of the women's basketball team, will also partipate on the panel, as will Curry School faculty instructors from our athletics administration courses. Paul Harris and Antoinette Thomas from the Curry counselor education program will moderate the panel titled "The Black Student Athlete Experience on Grounds."

The panel will be held on Friday, April 7, 3-4:30 p.m. in Ruffner Hall, Third Floor (former Education Library). All Curry alumni are welcome to attend. BAW participants should register online for the panel.
