UVA alumni in the New York area have been invited on February 9, 2017 to learn how the UVA’s Curry School of Education is creating solutions to some of our country’s toughest educational challenges.
Students across the nation at all income levels need access to effective teachers and high-quality schools. UVA’s Curry School of Education is developing innovations across the preK-12 spectrum and beyond that hold promise to make lasting, positive change in the lives of the nation’s students.
Engage in dialog with a Curry School faculty panel about cutting edge approaches to strengthening early childhood education, improving students’ academic and emotional wellbeing, helping first-generation college attenders get and stay in school (including an initiative with Bloomberg Philanthropies), simulating classroom settings for future teachers, and helping schools leaders evaluate the merit of educational technologies.
