Colloquium Featuring Dr. Jana Iverson

Disability Studies Initiative and the Psych Department are co-sponsoring what promises to be a terrific colloquium by Jana Iverson, an autism scientist at University of Pittsburgh, whose work focuses on the links between communicative and motor development. All are welcome. The talk is intended to be accessible to everyone--scientists and non-scientists, clinicians, practitioners, students, and interested community members.
Swim Team: Movie For a Cause

Join students from the Curry School's Communication Science and Disorders program for a movie night to benefit the UVA SPLISH Summer Camp for children with autism. All are welcome. "Swim Team" plunges viewers into the world of young men on the autism spectrum as they compete against other teams and race against the clock in their transition towards adulthood.
Autism Allies Social Night

Autism Allies is a UVA student group which meets monthly to support people with autism in our community. Jump Night is open to current mentor/mentees only.
Virginia Institute of Autism 5k

All are welcome to create a race team to benefit the Virginia Institute of Autism. Details and registration information available at  http://www.viaschool.org/events/run-for-autism-5k/. Prior to the race day, VIA will host a Ben & Jerry's Free Ice Cream Day at the Curry School to benefit the VIA 5k. Location, date and time to be announced.
